The most luxurious tented camp in Australia, Longitude 131° has been designed with great sensitivity to the local ecology. With 15 exclusive tents, it is the only way to experience the sacred sites of Uluru (Ayers Rock) and Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) away from the resort crowds. The National Park that it borders is a World Heritage Site, owned by the local Anangu Aboriginal people and managed by Parks Australia in cooperation with them. There is the chance to learn something of aboriginal culture, while also experiencing central Australia’s unique desert ecology. Uluru is the world's most famous monolith, yet it is estimated that at least two-thirds of the Rock lies beneath the surface. The spectacular landscape and fascinating plants and animals of Uluru are a source of wonder and inspiration. Uluru’s ancient neighbour, Kata Tjuta, 50 kilometres to the west of Uluru, is a spectacular collection of 36 weathered red domes with steep sides, separated by narrow valleys, covering about 35 square kilometres.

DINING
The main gathering area in the camp – The Dune House – has a dining area, bar, library and lounge. There is also a pool and deck where guests can relax any time of the day and watch the changing colours of The Rock. Your stay here is inclusive of all meals, beverages (alcoholic and non) and touring.

ACTIVITIES
Exploring the area in small groups, your visit will take in a variety of activities: an ecological walk through a variety of desert landscape, where you will have the opportunity to experience at first hand native habitats, flora and fauna, bush food and bush medicine; a cultural experience of the spirit of the land in the centre of Australia; a sunrise visit to Kata Tjuta and a walk amongst the 36 majestic domes; a sunset visit to Uluru from where you will see the changing colours from a quiet gorge at the base of the Rock. In the evenings retire to an exclusive dune top to experience sunset with sundowner drinks and dinner under the night skies.
